✤ History
It has been long since the universe's collapse; the expansion folded on itself and then created a domino of events following, destroying the bright and beautiful universe that once was…
In the darkness of the void, leftover cosmic dust floats scatteredly and sparsely. Then suddenly, a cluster of cosmic dust collides and starts forming a planet, something the universe has not seen in eons… A blinding light appears, and roaring noises are heard throughout the universe… a new world is being born.
Alone and in the darkness of the void, this world may not last as the darkness consumes any energy for itself.
Within the planet's core, full of cosmic dust and immense power, between exosphere and space realms formed. These realms are different dimensions filled with magic, creating a barrier between the exosphere and space. These realms affected how the planet grew and these realms are the Sky, Ocean, and Land. The realm's magic formed a spirit within the core to aid nature and keep this planet alive amid the storm of the void. We will survive.
Life is beginning…slowly but beginning, taking millennia to form, but it is here; they are alive, they are thriving. The realms created life based upon their power, and that power lives on forevermore, even when a lifeform dies, its spirit remains. These beings that are born have essence from spirits and nature, Akimaru from the land, have crystals growing on their bodies, and their crystal hearts beat together; other Akimaru are born from the oceans with winding and flowing limbs, with the sea runs through their hearts. Lastly, the sky Akimaru have soft and widespread arms, light as feathers, they float around the planet's atmosphere… stargazing together as one.
The guardian spirit within the core becomes the Akimaru's Guardian, this Guardian has protected this planet for so long that their life force is depleting, and there is no time for them to recover. A process had to be created for regenerating their power, the Akimaru although fragile beings, their magic was powerful enough together, to assist the Guardian with regenerating their life force.
The realms bless and nurture the Akimaru, providing them with stardust, the most rare and powerful substance to the Akimaru. Stardust creates a new way of magic through spells, potions, and more inventions, this magic creates harmony for the Akimaru, aiding in the creation of kingdoms, domains, and towns. In return, the Akimaru assist their Guardian by worshipping them and creating cultural event of bestowing their power on a sacred crystal, at the start of every month. This regenerated the Guardian's life force enough to keep them and the planet protected for the time being.
Crystals can store and transfer power, which the guardian granted some sacred crystals to chosen Akimaru. The chosen Akimaru assist their realms and maintain harmony amongst them. In return for the power, those Akimaru have a responsibility to keep the abyssal dust from spreading on the planet, destroying plants, and altering life forms.
The chosen Akimaru ally with the Guardian to keep track of all the abyssal dust appearances and annihilate them. While those Akimaru are diligent and efficient at destroying the abyssal dust, some creatures and regular Akimaru get affected by it before they can aid, and unfortunately, those affected by the abyssal dust have their DNA altered. We call these Akimaru the Tainted.
The Tainted glow with unnatural auras, as their veins are now luminescent. Though the abyssal dust doesn't always affect the Tainted's personality, they are treated by Akimaru with utmost caution and vileness, because of that, some Tainted run away to more accepting communities or form tainted groups, fighting against the discrimination.
These groups can cause havoc upon innocent Akimaru, and some of the Tainted groups cause irreparable harm to nature. The stigma around the Tainted is more harmful every day, with television and newspapers reporting on their every bad move. The Tainted have almost caused a war before, but it may happen for certain if this stigma grows…
✤ Magic
Much of the magic and power of this world has been dabbled in the History and Behaviours of the species but this will explain in more depth about this universe's magic system.
There are four types of magic within this universe, Accord, Arcane, Abyssal, and Acrid.
➜ Accord
Accord is magic that Akimaru and some creatures are either born with or blessed with. Accord magic is based upon light and life, within this planet, its core is full of this magic which creates said light and life which the void devours and surrounds.
This magic is fast acting and the casters can be quite specific with its pathway and potentcy. It can create seals, sacred objects, and pathways that can encrypt a script of what the magic does, its material requirements, and how to cast it. This magic is usually unique to species and individually, though most Akimaru can float and direct small to medium objects, they also can illuminate small mana particles and crystals like a torch.
Each species has additional more powerful magic blessed from their respective realm which is covered in the Habitat and Behaviours section above. These powers are another example of Accord magic.
➜ Arcane
Arcane magic is based on mana and stardust, it doesn't require a lifeform to house and cast it. It's usually stored in crystals and can be used in combination with Accord magic. This magic combination is used in the form of spells and specialized altars that utilize seals, tomes, and pathways created from Accord magic.
This magic can also be mixed into potions, with different ingredients, processes, and equipment, it can strengthen or weaken non-magic commodities and create new unique potions with a various range of effects.
➜ Abyssal
Abyssal magic is forbidden magic in this world as it can distort matter at an atomic level, this magic is immensely powerful and almost no other magic can rival it.
This magic is used to create an anormous amount of energy, this energy can create earthquakes, tsunamis, and landslides. It is extremely destructive and only a few can handle its power, one such the Guardian has aced this magic, whereas the Chosen have only a fraction of it, they can distord matter only on a smaller level.
Abyssal magic is extremely rare and currently, the only beings with this magic are the Guardian, the Chosen Akimaru, and some scarse anomalous creatures roaming the world.
➜ Acrid
Acrid magic is filled with dark matter from the void, if lifeforms come across fallen dark matter, it can infect them and warp their magic. This magic can spread already contaminated areas where dark matter has fallen, helping further spread infections to other lifeforms.
The Akimaru that are infected by the dark matter are called the Tainted, this magic weakens and sometimes diminishes the being's prior magic. Some Tainted use their magic with experiments, researching and documenting on how dark matter and Acrid magic reacts to different environments, materials, and minerals. Some work along with uninfected Akimaru to assist in finding a cure for it.
